Come join the SCS strength specialists as we take you through the first of three phases to strengthen the body, mind and spirit! The atmosphere of group strength training will provide you with the enjoyment and motivation only achieved in a positive group setting. The classes will be held in a group format but SCS coaches will be providing individual feedback and support during each segment. Classes will be held twice a week in six week blocks, with two classes a week to allow you time to transform your body and unlock the hidden potential within. This is a Strength Training program designed for endurance athletes. The format will certainly include many of our old school methods but will also employ new techniques, a simplified structure and a reduced time frame. Exercises included in Phase I will include several basic power to weight exercises like push-ups, pull-ups and body weight lunges and squats. We will take a light but effective start to plyometrics (jump training) and certainly work on balance, coordination and foot speed. If you are a hardcore “weight lifter,” never fear, we will get out the dumbbells to complete the wide variety of exercises. This phase will focus on basic athletic skills and strength building needed to complete more sport-specific strength in later phases of the program.
