Coach Kris and the Batteries Plus Minnesota Junior Elite Team circle up for a post-race talk after Manitou...

This year's team is proving they are a force to be reckoned with, taking top honors in their age groups all year long.  These talented young athletes are now setting their sights on the overall top spots.  Michael Williams has been making his mark around North America racing the ITU Junior Elite circuit, while here at home Devon Palmer has proved to have serious all around talent. Sheala Mullany continues to dominate the 19 and under female category taking a strong second at the Hy Vee Triathlon.  Jeff Lombardo saw an early 4th overall placement at the Buffalo Sprint Triathlon.  His swim is improving steadily and his lightning fast runs continually place him in the top ranks.  Ian Holman finished his season with an age group podium placement at the Hy Vee Triathlon and will now be focusing on helping people in South America as he travels out of country for a year to study.   Kelsey Knothe has used her strong swim to help secure her solid finishes all season.

The Batteries Plus MJET team will be now turning their focus towards the Turtleman Triathlon.  Look for them to be in the top ranks across the board.  Tryout information for the 2008 team will be announced after the first on the year.  Next year's team will be expanded from 6 to 8 athletes.  If you have questions about the team, email kris@scsmultisport.com.
